Here we are going to look at a 2000 Nicaragua 1 Cordoba coin. On the front of it is the coat of arms for Nicaragua which is a pyramid inside of which are five mountains and a rainbow. These are taken to mean equality, union and liberty. The back of the coin has its denomination enclosed in a circle which 4 stars are around and below which is the year. The composition of metal is steel with a nickel outside surface. Its weight is 6.2 grams and there were 35 million of them made in 2000. This one in the pictures would grade at least almost uncirculated.
The currency of Nicargua is the Cordoba which was established in the year 1912. Since then it has be revalued twice, the first time in 1988 and then again in 1991.
